After the initial visit and 6 week touch up, Permanent Makeup can last anywhere from 1-5 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. I recommend clients to do a color boost appointment every 1-2 years to refresh their look. ^{_{*At some point, without color boost visits, Permanent Makeup will completely fade.}}

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I use numbing so you will have little to no pain. 99% of my clients say, “Oh, you started??” and fall asleep during the process.

Initial healing typically takes about 5 to 10 days, while full healing and pigment settling can take around 4 to 8 weeks. A perfecting session is usually recommended after healing for the best long term results. PMU lips go through several healing stages including darkness, flaking, lightening, and color settling. It’s completely normal for the lips to appear darker immediately after the procedure before softening into the healed result over the following weeks.

To help minimize sensitivity and bleeding, avoid alcohol, caffeine, blood thinning medications or supplements, retinol, and excessive sun exposure before your appointment unless otherwise approved by your physician. (SEE PRECARE INFO)

During healing, avoid picking, scratching, excessive sweating, swimming, saunas, direct sun exposure, and applying makeup or skincare products directly on the lips unless instructed otherwise. Proper aftercare plays a huge role in healed results and retention. (SEE AFTERCARE INFO)
